Why Soul and Spirit?
We pride ourselves on providing quality pet products. Our journey began with a mission: to address the unique needs of our furry friends while celebrating the rich tapestry of Mexican heritage in a fun and unique way.
The heart of our endeavor is embodied by my furry companion Nami, who’s faced severe reactivity issues. Upon noticing other dogs or people, she would immediately lunge and bark, leaving me feeling helpless. The treats we used for training all lost her interest after a short while. We were trying new treats all the time. Nami also suffers from gastrointestinal issues which made changing from treat to treat a nightmare. There were plenty of days where I would wake up in the middle of the night to the smell of something funky, only to realize she had an accident. This is when we delved into the realm of holistic pet nutrition. Using human-grade meats, we created treats that didnt trigger her gastrointesinal issues, and were motivating enough to make real and lasting progress in her obedience.
Inspired by our Mexican heritage, we embarked on a quest to infuse our products with the vibrancy and warmth of our culture through showcasing Alebrijes on our design and packaging. Alebrijes (pronounced: ah-leh-bree-hez) are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures. Alebrijes can be considered spirit animals that are here to guide you in this life and in the next.
Every aspect, from production to packaging, is meticulously managed by one individual, me! With a passion for holistic pet care and a deep appreciation for my heritage, I thank you for trusting me with your spirit animals and I hope you visit us again.

NAMI
This is Nami (2). She is a white GSD who struggles with reactivity and is super nervy (we're always working on that). When she’s not barking at every thing that passes by the front door, she loves to fetch, tug, chase the cats, and lounge on the couch after a good exercise session. Nami is the sweetest dog to everyone she meets once she gets past her nerves.
REMI
This is Remi (6). He is my first pet since moving out of my parents house. I adopted him from a local shelter when he was two months old. He’s a typical orange tabby that loves to eat, sleep, and wreck havoc on the house. Since he’s getting older he’s calmed down but still has that strange orange cat behavior. He’s spoiled and its his world, we’re just living in it.
NOVA
This is Nova (3). She’s an old soul in a small cat body. She makes the cutest trilling noises all day and follows Remi wherever he goes. She’s super loving and sweet. She makes everyone laugh because of her silly behavior, she’s probably the most well adjusted animal in the house. She loves to eat and lets everyone know when she’s hungry.

Yes.
DEHYDRATED treats are made through an air drying process. They are dried at low temperatures for a prolonged period of time in order to remove moisture and leave behind a nutrient dense treat that crumbles when chewed. Bones are highly digestible and can even work as natures toothbrush. The crunching aspect helps remove plaque and tartar from your pets teeth, along with regular brushing. Chewing also satisfies your pets natural urge to chew and mentally stimulates their minds as well.
COOKED bones are NOT safe to eat because they become so hard that they may splinter and cause harm to your pets body. Cooking bones at high temperatures also destroys the nutrients in them.
Edible bones are the hollow, non weight-bearing bones of animals (typically wings, ears, feet, and necks). They are soft, pliable, do not contain marrow, and can be easily crushed by healthy dog or cat teeth. These bones provide calcium, phosphorus and trace minerals which can be an essential part of your pets balanced raw food diet.
Yes. Cats are obligate carnivores. They can eat these treats as well.
We recommend trying one protein at a time. Your pet has most likely gotten used to eating highly processed foods and treats so natural and fresh treats like this might cause some initial soft stools if given too much at once. Break off a small quarter sized piece to start and increase the amount as needed. Treats should only be 10% of your pets daily nutritional needs.
